Also, filing a claim is only part of the process. After filing the claim, you are required to then register with the career center in order to receive your benefits. This registration has to take place within seven days of filing. You have to fill out a form that includes information on past work history, skills and the type of employment you are seeking. The center will add this information into their system and contact you if a position comes up that matches your skills or is similar to your prior employment. It is explained that once contacted, you are required to follow up with the center and find out more information on the job match which does not include the hiring company's name.
